After viewing the first sunrise at Observatory,
why not drop by the Great Shinto Shrine of the Tower,
located at the upper floor of the Main Deck,
for hatsumode (the first Shinto shrine visit of the new year)?
As the shrine with the highest location within Tokyo's 23 wards,
it is good to pray here for passing examinations, finding love, and traffic safety.
At the side of the shrine, you can hang ema (pieces of wood where one can write their wishes)
in the shape of Tokyo Tower, with your resolutions and dreams for the year written on them.
From January 1 to 3, lion dancers and lively chindon'ya (traditional Japanese street musicians)
will also be wandering around the main gate at the first floor as well as within Foot Town,
adding to the festive feeling of the new year!
Dates: January 1 (Wed) ~ January 3rd (Fri).
Times: (1)12:00pm~ (2)14:00pm~ (3)16:00pm~
