Regarding the reopening of the Observatory and our coronavirus measures (September 25th Update)

Tokyo Tower reopened under shorter business hours on May 28th (Thursday).
Reopening for business requires us to impose some inconveniences upon our visitors in order for us to employ thoroughly safe and security measures.
We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Anti-infection measures - to ensure the safety and security of our visitors

In order to ensure the safety and security of our visitors, we are operating under the following guidelines.

 ◆Thorough health checks of all of our attendants and staff members
  ⇒All employees will undergo temperature checks each morning, wear anti-infection masks, and thoroughly wash their hands and disinfect themselves periodically.
   Floor attendants will distribute the risk of infection through a "complete double-change of shifts".

 ◆Thorough disinfection and cleaning of all facilities
  ⇒All facilities - including the Observatory, elevators, cashier counters, and handrails - will undergo an antibacterial coating.
   All facilities will undergo disinfection and cleaning.

 ◆ Installation of plastic sheets to prevent airborne infection.
  ⇒Installed at ticket counters and information counters.

 ◆ Social distancing markers
  ⇒In order to provide a reference to our visitors while touring our facilities, social distancing markers will be placed throughout.
   *Our attendants and staff members will also regularly follow social distancing measures with our customers.
   *Depending on congestion levels, in some circumstances we may need to limit entry to the Observatory and official shops.


A request to our visitors

 ◎ [Safety masks] Please wear a safety mask when entering our facilities.

 ◎ [Temperature checks] Upon entry, we ask that you please cooperate with our temperature checks, located at designated areas (a fever screening system or non-contact forehead infrared thermometers).
    *Any visitor found to have a temperature of 37.5°C or above will be denied entry. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

 ◎ [Disinfection] We will place disinfectant dispensers throughout our facilities, so please use as appropriate.

 ◎ [Social distancing] We have placed social distancing markers throughout our facilities to guide your distance with others. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

 ◎ [Capacity] We will designate capacity restrictions for our elevators and the Observatory.

 ◎ [Measures to prevent airborne infection] All of our staff members will wear masks. We also have installed plastic sheets to prevent airborne infection at our ticket counters and information counters.

 ◎ [Customer service] We will stand further apart than normal when servicing our customers, and restrict conversation to a minimum.

Regarding our parking lot (holds 150 regular automobiles)

Tokyo Tower has a parking lot which can accommodate 150 regular automobiles.
Visitors can visit by car.
(Parking fees: First hour is 600 yen. Thereafter, 300 yen for every 30 minutes)

Certified as a facility that has adopted the necessary precautions against COVID-19

Tokyo Tower has been certified as a facility that has fulfilled the assessment criteria including the adoption of precautionary measures against the "three Cs" under the third-party certification system overseen by ASOVIEW Inc. in collaboration with other experts aimed at identifying facilities that have taken the necessary action to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
